DUBLIN, Ohio -- March 29, 2007 -- The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption named Kerrii B. Anderson, Chief Executive Officer and President of Wendy's International, Inc., to its board of trustees at its March 9 meeting.
Anderson, who was promoted to her current position at Wendy's in November 2006, joined the company in 2000 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. She provides leadership for all areas of the company, including restaurant operations, marketing, research and development, strategic planning, finance, supply chain, information technology, corporate affairs and franchisee relations. She is a member of the company's board of directors and serves on the board's advisory committees for strategic planning and finance.

"She brings great expertise, energy and an incredible personal passion for helping foster care children find permanent, adoptive families, and we believe she will be a wonderful asset in furthering our mission."

Prior to joining Wendy's, Anderson was senior vice president and chief financial officer for 14 years of M/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., a $1 billion NYSE company that is one of the nation's leading builders of single-family homes. Her financial career includes positions in accounting and investment firms, as well as public companies, including KPMG and R.J.R. Nabisco. She sits on the boards of several corporations and organizations, including Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp), Columbus Foundation Audit Committee and Ohio Health Finance Committee.
Anderson is a certified public accountant and earned her M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business administration from Elon University in North Carolina.
